Yay! You're officially booked. Now what? I have put together this welcome guide for you so you can feel more prepared for your session. If you still have questions after making your way through, just shoot me a message.

Styling Tips
Your outfits make a huge difference in the images we capture. Everything matters, from head to toe.
CONTRARY TO OUTDATED WAYS, YOU DON’T WANT TO DRESS EVERYONE IN THE SAME COLOR. OPT FOR A COLOR PALETTE INSTEAD. YOUR COLOR PALETTE SHOULD INCLUDE 3-5 COLORS. YOU WANT TO PICK THESE ACCORDING TO TONES INSTEAD OF JUST COLORS. EARTH TONES AND NEUTRAL TONES ALL LOOK BEAUTIFUL IN LOCATIONS I GENERALLY SHOOT.
Preparing for your session
A week before, start preparing your kids for our time together. Let them know that we will be getting together to have fun, snuggle and play. We are going to be easy going, if the kids are having a hard time, we meet them where they are at. No yelling at them or bribing them, leave the snacks to me.
Two nights before, get everyone's outfits laid out and ready to go, this will help the day of not be as hectic. This would be a great time to pack a bag for the day of as well. Comfortable shoes to walk back in and water!
Day of, be sure to prep yourself first. If you are Mom, most likely, you usually run around making sure that everyone else is ready. This is important, but we want to make sure you feel great for your session too. Leave enough time for any touch ups needed after helping everyone else.
Be sure to eat something beforehand if your session is scheduled for around your normal dinner time, and remember to avoid anything that will stain your fingers, face, or clothes. Don't forget to brush and floss your teeth and fix your nails.
Session Flow
Let me give you confidence by saying that your session is going to be awesome! The first few minutes of any photoshoot can feel uncomfortable until you relax into it and feel more at ease in front of the camera. I promise, by the end, you will be relaxed and having fun. My sessions are time spent loving on one another, embracing your life as is it unfolds. Tickle wars, giggling, being yourself, chaos and all.
There will not be a ton of sitting and smiling at the camera. Let that hair blow, kids show their wild personalities, and dresses twirl. Life is not perfect so our shoot shouldn't look like it is.
We are going to have some fun! Embrace the time you have with your family in the now and really who who you are. Remember it's okay if your kids get sad or angry or have a moment. Bring them in for hugs and love and make it a moment to remember.
One last reminder... Have zero expectations. Embrace what comes, the wind, rain, the laughter, whatever unfolds will be beautiful!
It's all about you and capturing your life exactly how it is on the day of your session.
Post Session
NOW IT’S TIME FOR YOU TO SIT BACK AND RELAX! I WILL GET TO WORK ON YOUR BEAUTIFUL GALLERY AND WILL HAVE THAT DELIVERED VIA PIXIESET IN 2 WEEKS. FROM THERE, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO SELECT IMAGES, SHARE AND ORDER PRINTS. ANYONE WHO PRINTS THROUGH ME WILL RECEIVE A 20% DISCOUNT.
